Hello! I am Zeynep Ertüz.

When I was in 4th grade, I fell in love with science and, in particular, biology. Since then, I always dreamed of being a part of the world of science and got my education accordingly. First, I studied Molecular Biology and Genetics at Bilkent University in my home country, Turkey, then relocated to Munich, Germany, for my master's education in Biology at Ludwig Maximilians University. Upon completion of my MSc. degree, I did my graduate research in allergy and asthma prevention at Helmholtz Center Munich.

During my academic career, I have contributed to many scientific papers, but also I was lucky enough to be surrounded by great mentors and colleagues, who led me to my passion: Scientific Illustration. I discovered the unmatched importance of visual representation and realized creating them gave me great pleasure and satisfaction. I was able to provide illustrations for scientific papers, grant applications, and presentations.

So I carried my scientific expertise and creative mind to a professional career in scientific illustration and science communication.
